Our team at Sunnyside Children’s Clinic offer a range of autism training services including scheduled training events and customised courses. We provide training suited to those caring for and working with individuals with autism, from pre-school right through to adulthood. We work alongside public, private and voluntary organisations.
Our Autism Training
All of our trainings are designed to give you both the skills and resources you will need to make a difference in your home or workplace. All the content of our trainings is evidence-based and delivered by trainers with a wealth of experience and expertise in the areas of autism and evidence-based practice.
Our trainers have extensive experience delivering autism training to a wide range of audiences in the UK and Ireland. We incorporate best practice in all our autism training with an emphasis on instruction, modelling and rehearsal. As such you will find that our trainings include opportunities to learn about and see strategies in action and then practise implementing them. We want you to experience not just the theory but gain lots of practical skills through individual and group activities. After our training we will provide a resource pack with materials you can use to tailor strategies for your needs. We can also arrange access to follow-up support from our team as required.
Past training events have covered a variety of topics including Understanding Autism, Managing Challenging Behaviour, Developing Positive Communication and Promoting Personal Care Skills.
